Team AMOS Programs
Partnerships & Community Outreach
AED School & Foundation partners with schools, universities, social service organizations, disability service agencies, churches, and other community organizations to expand opportunities and provide meaningful support for children and young adults with special needs.
Our Team AMOS Specialists welcome the opportunity to work directly with students in their local schools and communities. Our specialists provide support in areas such as life skills development, social skills development, vision services, workforce readiness, technology education, music instruction, and other programs designed to promote personal growth and greater independence.
We welcome partnerships with local schools, universities, disability agencies, social service organizations, churches, and community organizations that share our commitment to serving children and young adults with disabilities and other disadvantages.
Through our Instrumental & Vocal Worship Program, participants have opportunities to learn to play musical instruments and develop and strengthen their singing voices. We also partner with churches and ministries to train worship leaders and other designated individuals to effectively support and work with children and young adults with special needs in music and worship settings. Our goal is to help participants discover and develop their musical gifts while creating opportunities for meaningful participation in worship and service to God.
AED School & Foundation is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Mississippi. While Mississippi is our home, our vision extends beyond state lines. We welcome opportunities to bring our services and programs to schools, churches, organizations, and communities throughout the United States.

Team AMOS - Instrumental & Vocal Worship (Option A)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Team AMOS Instrumental & Vocal Worship Program is designed to provide children and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to discover and develop their musical abilities through instrumental instruction and vocal training in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Instrumental lessons are offered in piano, guitar, violin, drums, flute, trumpet, French horn, clarinet, and saxophone. Vocal lessons are also available for participants who desire to develop and strengthen their singing voices.
To encourage family involvement and create a shared learning experience, one parent or sibling of each program participant is also invited to participate in the program. The parent or sibling may receive instruction on the same musical instrument selected by the program participant or participate in vocal lessons alongside the participant.
Through this unique family-centered approach, Team AMOS seeks to strengthen musical skills, build confidence, encourage family support, and create meaningful opportunities for participants to use their musical gifts in worship.
Serving the Community
This program provides participants with opportunities to share their musical talents through worship music recitals and concerts at churches, schools, community events, family-oriented gatherings, parks, sporting events, and other appropriate venues.
These performances allow participants to share their musical gifts with the community while increasing awareness of AED School & Foundation's mission and programs. Events may also serve as fundraising opportunities to generate donations that help support the Foundation's programs and services for children and young adults with disabilities.
Team AMOS - Life & Social Skills Development (Option B)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Team AMOS Life & Social Skills Development Program is designed to help participants develop essential life and social skills that promote greater independence, confidence, and effective communication in everyday settings.
AED School & Foundation seeks to establish partnerships with local school districts to provide additional support and advocacy for school-age participants enrolled in the program. Through collaboration with parents, caregivers, schools, and other appropriate support professionals, Team AMOS will help reinforce skills that contribute to each program participant's personal growth and independence.
To support each participant's individual needs, Team AMOS will develop a personalized plan of action focused on up to three priority goals identified in the program participant's Individualized Education Program (IEP), when appropriate and with proper authorization, or based on the parent or caregiver's top three identified areas of need.
Examples of individual goals may include:

Independent Living Skills: The program participant will develop the ability to properly use eating utensils with increasing independence.

Communication & Vocabulary: The program participant will strengthen communication skills by learning and appropriately using new vocabulary words.

Personal Care & Daily Living Skills: The program participant will work toward greater independence in personal grooming and daily tasks, such as brushing their hair and cleaning or wiping tables.
Progress toward these goals will be supported through instruction, demonstration, repetition, hands-on practice, positive reinforcement, and individualized assistance based on each participant's abilities and needs.
The overall goal of the Team AMOS Life & Social Skills Development Program is to help participants build practical skills that can increase their independence and strengthen their ability to successfully participate at home, school, work, and in the community.
Visually Impaired / Blind Program (Option C)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Team Amos Visually Impaired / Blind Program is an inclusive workforce preparation program designed to equip young adults with and without disabilities with the knowledge, practical skills, confidence, and experience necessary to successfully enter, participate in, and advance in the workforce.
The program combines career exploration, employability skills, job-search preparation, life skills, workplace expectations, hands-on learning, and career development.Participants will learn in an inclusive environment while receiving individualized support and reasonable accommodations when needed.
The program will focus on each participant's abilities and strengths while helping them identify areas where additional development or support may be beneficial.The goal is not simply to help participants get a job, but to prepare them to keep a job, grow professionally, become more independent, and build a meaningful career.
Technology / Code Instruction (Option E)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Team AMOS Technology & Code Instruction Program, offered through AED School & Foundation, is designed to introduce participants to coding, computer science, technology, and digital creativity through accessible, engaging, and hands-on learning experiences.
The program is designed to provide opportunities for participants with varying abilities, learning styles, and levels of technology experience. Instruction will be adapted when appropriate to support participants with disabilities while maintaining an inclusive environment where individuals can learn, create, collaborate, and develop valuable technology skills.
The objective of the program is not to require every participant to become a computer programmer. Instead, coding and technology will serve as tools for developing transferable skills such as problem-solving, sequencing, persistence, creativity, logical thinking, communication, digital literacy, and confidence.
Participants will have opportunities to create projects, explore technology-related careers, develop basic coding skills, learn about artificial intelligence, and discover how technology is used in everyday life and the modern workplace.
Workforce Readiness & Career Development (Option D)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Team Amos Workforce Readiness & Career Development Program is an inclusive workforce preparation program designed to equip young adults with and without disabilities with the knowledge, practical skills, confidence, and experience necessary to successfully enter, participate in, and advance in the workforce.

Mental Health & Behavioral Counseling (Option F)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Team AMOS Mental Health & Behavioral Counseling & Support Program, offered through AED School & Foundation, is designed to support the emotional, behavioral, social, and personal development of children and young adults with and without disabilities.
The program is intended to provide a safe, respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment where participants can strengthen emotional awareness, communication, coping skills, self-esteem, decision-making, problem-solving, social skills, and positive behaviors.Services may include individual support, group-based activities, social-emotional learning, behavioral skill development, family education and support, referrals, and—when provided by appropriately licensed or credentialed professionals—mental health counseling and behavioral health services.
The program recognizes that every participant is unique. Services should be individualized according to age, developmental level, communication style, abilities, strengths, family circumstances, and identified needs.

Our Mission
AED School and Foundation mission is to inspire exceptional children and young adults to glorify God through our AED worship school music program. We are passionate about seeing disadvantage children and young adults pursue a career and/or develop fundamental skills in Christian music, through learning to play a musical instrument and/or receiving vocal lessons. Our mission also includes providing life and social development skills and visually impaired services to our special needs community.
AMOS E. DAVIS
AED School & Foundation was birthed from a vision given to the mother of Amos Ezekiel Davis. Amos has a twin sister (Ashley) Davis. They were born on June 25, 2005. Amos was 1 pound 9 ounces at birth, while his sister birth weigh was 1 pound 7 ounces.
